Cecilia
Hi! I’m Cecilia — swimmer, coach, and lifelong water lover. For over 25 years, I’ve helped everyone from splashy babies to nervous adults become confident swimmers. I’m a certified swim instructor and coach with a background in Physical Ed and Psychology, so I know how to keep lessons safe, positive, and fun while building real skills. My mission? Confident swimmers, strong technique, big smiles, and lots of happy splashing. I teach all ages and abilities (including swimmers with special needs) and I’m CPR, AED, and First Aid certified.
Derek
Hi! I’m Derek — a native Floridian who grew up in the ocean and the pool and never really left the water. I swam competitively in high school and later served six years in the U.S. Army, where I taught advanced aquatic skills with a strong focus on safety and skill-building. I’m certified in CPR, First Aid, and AED, and I bring a calm, upbeat approach to every lesson. I’ve taught swimmers from infants to adults and currently work as a high school educator, so connecting with students of any age comes naturally. My goal is simple: help swimmers feel comfortable in the water, build strong skills, and actually enjoy the process.
Maya
Hey there! I’m Maya. I’ve been teaching swim lessons since 2024 and I’m lifeguard certified, so we keep things safe and splashy! I teach toddlers to adults, including individuals with special needs, and love coaching swimmers to crush their goals. With CPR and Water Safety certification in hand, I’m all about making waves, building confidence, and having a blast in the pool!

I joined my first competitive swim team at age 8 and currently compete at the Division I level, serving as team captain.Teaching since 2022, I work with swimmers of all ages—from little ones to adults, including individuals with special needs—helping each reach their goals in a positive and encouraging environment. Julie
I have decades of experience teaching swimming, inspired by my father, a professional swimmer who introduced me to the water at a very young age. I am certified in pediatric CPR and First Aid and have worked with students of all ages—from infants to seniors. My background includes coaching competitive swim teams and diving, as well as working as a lifeguard. I’m also an avid swimmer and surfer, and I bring that energy into every lesson. From first kicks to big accomplishments, I’m right there celebrating each moment. Helping my students love the water as much as I do is the best part—I truly love what I do!
