Joel gained a tremendous amount of his skills from his experience at RDV sporting complex as a certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor. He is also certified in Lifeguarding, CPR/AED and First Aid. Through his journey, he’s managed to teach children of all ages, including special needs. Training for over 5 years allowed Joel to perfect his skills. Swimming is a huge passion of Joel’s and he’d like to motivate others to feel the same.


Mohamed LOVES swimming! He started instructing and lifeguarding in Morocco, where he also coached the swim team, and after 5 years at the resorts and community pools there, he moved to beautiful Orlando! He really enjoys working around the water and has been able to help many people over the years. He feels fulfilled when he sees his students swimming safely and really enjoying themselves. Mohamed has experience with all ages and abilities including those with special needs. He is currently certified in Lifeguarding, CPR, AED and First Aid.

Patricia "Trish"

Trish is originally from upstate NY. She swam throughout middle school, high school, and at SUNY Buffalo State College. She began lifeguarding in high school and college including lifeguarding for ECC for the NCAA swim meets. She was an all-ages head swim coach for the Ballston area recreation commission swim team and most recently an all-ages swim coach for Pipeline swim team. Trish has a bachelor’s in nutrition & dietetics with internships and an associates in equine science from North American Racing Academy (jockey school). She lives with two large dogs that are Lurchers (Roxie and Chewie) on a farm. She enjoys horseback riding, snow sports, rock climbing, biking, hiking, running, and dragonboating. Her main focus is on everyone's safety, comfort and confidence in the water for all swimmers. Trish is patient and creative, loves working with all ages and all skill levels, and learning abilities. Trish is currently certified in Infant, Child and Adult CPR, First Aid, AED and Lifeguarding. She is also certified as a USA Swim Coach, safesport and bioneurofeedback certified.

Mary Catherine "MC"

Mary Catherine is originally from Asbury Park,New Jersey! She comes from a competitive swim background and has over 5 years experience teaching swim in New Jersey. Currently, she is enrolled full-time at the University of Central Florida pursuing her bachelors in Entertainment Management. She has taught children and adults of all ages and currently has her CPR and Lifeguarding certification.


Anneliz was born and raised in Orlando, Fl. She began swim lessons from an early age and soon started swimming competitively starting in middle school. She is currently a senior at Lake Nona High School and has been on the swim team all throughout high school. She is planning to attend the University of Florida. Anneliz has been a swim instructor for the YMCA for almost a year and is certified in basic life support, emergency use of medical oxygen, and first aid and CPR. The best part in being a swim instructor to Anneliz is being able to see the incredible progress in technique/water safety skills over the span of the lessons. Other than swimming, Anneliz enjoys painting and being outdoors in her free time.


Alex's journey in aquatics began at the age of 16, where she started as a lifeguard at a water park. Over the years, she has gained experience as a pool lifeguard, Water Safety Instructor, and even a lifeguard manager. Having spent the last ten years in Florida after moving from Pennsylvania, Alex has immersed herself in the hospitality industry, utilizing her skills to ensure swim lessons are not only safe and effective but also enjoyable for students of all ages and skill levels. With her patient and encouraging nature, she recognizes that everyone learns in their own unique way and at their own pace. It's worth mentioning that Alex is currently certified in CPR/First Aid and Lifeguarding, further emphasizing her commitment to safety.


Hi there! I'm Jessica, and I'm thrilled to work with you or your child! Originally from Chicagoland, Illinois, I've been teaching and coaching swimming since 2012. I've worked with kids as young as 6 months old and adults of all backgrounds. I recently earned a bachelor's degree in counseling from Boyce College and got married in June 2023. For the past two years, I've been with a nonprofit in Louisville called Dayspring, helping adults with disabilities learn life skills. I've also been a private swim coach at the Louisville JCC. Now, my husband Greg and I have moved to Orlando and are excited to join the community! My hobbies include refurbishing furniture, music, art, hiking, and pickleball. I'm CPR/AED certified. Let's dive in!


Lily, a longtime resident of the Casselberry/Winter Springs area, has cherished water adventures since childhood. Becoming a Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor at just 16, she's been teaching swimming since 2002. Now a Trauma and Medical Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse, Lily finds joy in teaching anyone eager to learn. From beginners to the timid, she guides students as young as 1 to swim with confidence. Lily holds certifications in CPR/First Aid, ensuring safety alongside skill development.


Katie's journey in aquatics began in 1998 at the age of 15 as a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor for the American Red Cross. After five years of honing her skills, she joined the Walt Disney World College Program as a deep water Lifeguard with Ellis and Associates at Typhoon Lagoon and Disney’s Blizzard Beach waterparks. Disney extended her internship into a full-time role, promoting her to Coordinator, where she trained and evaluated Lifeguards. Over the years, Katie has taught private lessons and small group classes to individuals of all ages, from 6 months and up, focusing on water safety and stroke refinement. She holds certifications as a Water Safety Instructor, Emergency Medical Technician, Lifeguard Instructor, and CPR.
