Anything having to do with the water has always been a big part of Jessica’s life, not only because she is a Pisces and has a deep love for the water, but also because it is such a beautiful, relaxing, healing place. Jessica has taught as a swim instructor for Swim America, as well as, The American Red Cross for a few years now. She is also is a certified lifeguard, along with other certifications for First Aid, CPR, and AED for infants, children and adults. Jessica is so thankful that she has an opportunity to teach the importance of water safety and that her and her students can both have a great time while learning. It is important to Jessica to create a comfortable and safe environment for her students that they may both enjoy. She will work on swimmers’ confidence as well as stroke development and technique. The passion Jessica feels for the water is a passion she would like to share with the world so that you can share the joys of swimming, as well!
Chad learned how to swim at 3 years old and has been swimming ever since. He swam on his high school swim team for 4 years where he attended the MIAA all conference and held 3 school records. Chad went on to swim in college at Saint Peter's University in Jersey City, New Jersey. He was on 3 relay teams that finished top 5 or better in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Chad is currently working on a bachelor’s degree in Business Management at Florida Atlantic University where he will graduate in the Fall. Chad has been coaching swim lessons since he was 13 years old and giving private lessons since he was 16, he finds joy and excitement when the kids he teaches perfect their technique and find their love for the sport of swimming. He is a master of stroke development and stroke refinement. Chad is certified through The American Red Cross in Lifeguarding and CPR.
Amanda was a nationally ranked synchronized swimmer during her tenure at the Coral Springs Aquacades. She enjoys working with children, and connects well with them. Amanda is certified through American Red Cross in Lifeguarding, CPR/AED and first aid. She looks forward to lifeguarding your next event!
Caylin graduated with her Masters in Physical Education in 2018. She was on the swim team from the age of 12 years old to 18 years old where she swam competitively. Caylin has been teaching swimming lessons since she was 16 years old. She has experience teaching babies, children and adults, and have trained a military service applicants to pass their swim exams. Caylin was an Assistant Coach for the Recreational Team teaching Beginner swimmers how to swim competitively working on stroke perfection. She is certified through The American Red Cross in CPR/AED
Goce was born in Macedonia, Europe. Swimming and other water-based activities have been part of his life ever since he can remember. Goce learned to swim at a local pool and joined his first competitive swim team at the age of 7. Goce's passion for swimming continued during high school and also college. He graduated at the University for Physical Education College in 2007. Teaching water safety and water sports has always been extremely enjoyable for Goce and for all the kids that learned from him. Goce has been a swimming coach and lifeguard since 2003 and has taught children of all ages and skill levels. From 2008 until 2015, he was professor for sport and sport education at high school and he also coordinated the activities for the swimming activities. In 2015, Goce moved to USA, certified his diploma as sport professor and became certified through The American Red Cross in Water Safety and CPR.
Patricia, AKA "Patti," was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She started swimming at a very young age and started swimming competitively around 7 years old. Patti has competed in many international swimming meets. including Junior and Senior World Championships, Central American Games (2x bronze and 1x silver medalist), Pan American Games and many championships around the Caribbean and U.S. Competitively. Patti has won medals in the breast, free style, and butterfly strokes. She is the current record holder in Puerto Rico for the 50-meter breast stroke. Her whole life has revolved around the water, not only because she loves to swim, but she finds it as her haven. Patti enjoys teaching kids/adults new things that will make them better and more successful swimmers. She will work on building the swimmer’sconfidence as well as techniques. Patti also loves teaching adults and children with disabilities. She holds certifications in First Aid, CPR, AED for infants, children, and adults. She is also certified in Safety Training for Swim Coaches. Patti is fluent in English, Spanish, and conversational in Portuguese.
Ivy is currently enrolled in Florida Atlantic University’s Masters of Social Work program. A few summers ago, Ivy moved to Northern Island and began a career working as a surf instructor and beach lifeguard. This naturally progressed into her teaching swim lessons. She has since moved back to the states where she teaches swim lessons and surfing in South Florida. She holds certifications in First Aid, CPR and AED, as well as Surf Instruction and Beach Safety through the Irish Water Safety Association. Ivy loves kids of all ages, has 4 years of camp counseling under her belt, and volunteers at a local youth group. She also loves teaching adults and people with disabilities about water safety.
Jeffrey comes to us from Kingston, New York. He has an associate’s degree and bachelor’s degree in recreation management from Springfield College, MA. Jeffrey has 3 children and is currently engaged. Jeffrey has worked at numerous beach resorts and community pools lifeguarding and teaching swim lessons. He has experience with all ages and skill levels; infant and parent classes, toddler and children swim lessons and adult swim lessons. He is currently certified through The American Red Cross in Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR/AED and Water Safety Instruction (WSI).
A South Florida native, Eddie finds himself most comfortable in the water. He has worked in the aquatic field for 11 years starting off at the YMCA as lifeguard, swim coach/instructor and more recently a water fitness instructor. He has guarded many pool parties and is prepared to keep swimmers safe. He is certified through the American Res cross for lifeguarding, BLS (basic life support) which includes: CPR, First Aid, and AED. Eddie loves to see individuals growth in swimming and find it imperative that everyone should learn how to swim starting as early as possible. He has enjoyed teaching a wide variety of age groups from toddlers to adults throughout the years. This has given him the experience of working with special needs population, which includes but not limited to individuals with Asperger's, Down syndrome Development Delay, and Autism. Eddie is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant and hopes in the near future to open his own practice which would include a pool for aquatic therapy. In his free time, he loves to go fishing, kite surfing and kayaking at the beach.
