Amy's love for the water all started with The Little Mermaid. Ariel has been her favorite Disney princess for as long as she can remember. Amy's mother would have to drag her out of the pool when she was a kid. She can't remember when she learned to swim, she just knows she's always been a swimmer. Now, Amy wants to share her passion and love for swimming with children! Amy is CPR/AED, first aid and lifeguard certified.
Kym's fondest childhood memories are in the water! At the age of four, she was the youngest swimmer on the community swim team. When she turned 15, she returned to that same recreational pool to become a lifeguard for five consecutive years. She became Water Safety and Adaptive Aquatics Certified, as well as coached a Special Olympic swim team. In 2017, Kym was offered an opportunity to become a lifeguard for the Disney Cruise Line, where she worked for 2 years aboard their magical cruise ships! She now works at a Walt Disney World Resort as a lifeguard and is also tasked with lake patrol. In Kym’s spare time, she enjoys returning to the pool to teach water safety and educate families on water safety precautions. Kym is passionate about water safety and would like to share the importance of this topic with her community, near and far. Kym is eager to engage with families; as her clients make the same memories in the water that Kym holds closest to her heart!
Chris began ocean lifeguarding on the Jersey shore over 20 years ago. Having such a huge love for the ocean, surfing, and swimming he wanted to share that excitement with the younger generation. He began volunteering for a free, under 12, surf clinic for local children during summer. Being a surf instructor for young children came naturally to Chris and soon morphed into swim lessons. He helps children become more comfortable in the water and all around, better swimmers. Chris recently took a marine rescue job in Manatee County and is eager to help the next generation of swimmers in the area. Chris is certified in CPR/AED and lifeguarding.
