Danielle - Office Manager
Danielle learned to swim at two years of age and has loved the water ever since! She swam competitively for her high school swim team and attended regionals her first year on the dive team! She currently attends SPC part time working towards her AA degree. Danielle is outgoing and clicks with people very easily. Danielle began working with children in 2017, caring for infants at her local daycare. She decided to combine her love for the water with her love for children and began teaching swim lessons. She has accumulated experience with all different age ranges and skill levels, including adults and special needs. She is also proficient in teaching stroke refinement to advanced swimmers and water aerobics to those looking to refreshen their workout routines! She is certified through The American Red Cross in Lifeguarding, CPR/AED and First Aid and Water Aerobics Instruction through The American Sports & Fitness Association. Her hope is that she can share her knowledge about water safety with all who work with her!
Tiffany enjoyed many years as a competative swimmer throughout her childhood. Tiffany was trained by the American Red Cross to teach swim lessons in 1997. Since then, she has taught all ages. She graduated college in 2002 from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse with a sociology degree and has been a social worker for the past 15 years. She started teaching private lessons again in 2015 and loves to share her passion for the water with others. Tiffany is certified in CPR/AED and first aid.
Emily recently moved to Florida from Maine, where she was a YMCA aquatics director. She is originally from Glens Falls, New York and has a BA in English from Middlebury College in Vermont, where she was also captain of the water polo team. Emily is certified as a Red Cross Lifeguard (with First Aid, CPR/AED) and Lifeguard Instructor, and has also been trained in both the Red Cross and YMCA swim lesson curriculums. She has been teaching swim lessons for 9 years and also swam competitively for 6 years in middle school and high school. .
Courtney was a Division I swimmer at Fresno State and won multiple MWC and team awards over the four years she participated on the team. Her main events were distance freestyle, specifically the mile, 1000 free, 500 free, and 200 free. She began swimming competitively when she was 7 years old and hasn't left the water since. Recently, she was the Head Swim Coach for both the boys and girls swim teams at Stevens Point Area High School. During her tenure as the head coach she helped swimmers of all abilities achieve their personal goals, which includes helping one her swimmers reach his goal of State Champion this past winter. Over the years she has taught swim lessons to swimmers of all abilities and ages. Working with kids as young as 6 months old all the way to adults. Her and her family moved to the Saint Petersburg area so she could finish her Doctorate in Audiology. She is in her final year of the program at the University of Wisconsin AuD Consortium. Courtney is Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certified through the The American Red Cross. She looks forward to working with her future students and sharing her love for the water with them.
“Water is my element” explains Carrie Caignet when asked about her unique professional experience. Her first job was at the historic Don César Hotel on the island of Saint Pete Beach, Florida. There she developed an aquatics program as well as guided beach/water walks for guests, becoming the youngest manager on staff. After graduating from school, Carrie was recruited by the Mirage Dolphin Habitat in Las Vegas where she worked as a dolphin trainer for a decade. When she returned to Florida, Carrie partnered with diving charter boat operations in the Tampa Bay area and the Florida Keys as a Dive Instructor, Divemaster, Rescue Diver and Mate; scouting for photographers, leading dive charters, spearfishing expeditions and introducing hundreds of people to SCUBA diving for the first time. Carrie brings over 30 years of expertise facilitating safe, enriching and positive experiences in and around the water. Carrie is CPR/AED and first aid certified.
Emily is originally from Colorado and moved to Florida for the warm weather and to be near the water. Her first job was teaching swimming at a local rec center. That's when she fell in love with teaching. Since then, she's worked and lived at swim camps all across the country! She has 5 years of experience near the water, teaching kids of all ages. She has experience as a life guard, swim instructor and camp counselor! Emily is certified in first aid / CPR / AED.
Calla is a native Floridian who grew up in and around the water. Though she thoroughly enjoys swimming at the pool or beach now, she didn’t always feel that way. As a young child, Calla overcame her fear of the water through repeated exposure and swimming lessons. As her confidence grew, so did her love of this lifelong activity. Calla began her aquatics career in 2016 as a Lifeguard and Water Safety Assistant. From there, she became an Aquatics Supervisor. She loves teaching swimming lessons to toddlers, children and adults of all ages. She is certified through the American Red Cross for Lifeguarding, First Aid and CPR/AED. Calla believes that swimming and water safety are a vital life skills and is passionate about sharing her knowledge with the people she instructs. Calla is experienced in facilitating lessons for children who are afraid of the water and for children with special needs and varying exceptionalities. Lessons are tailored specifically to the student but fun is always on the agenda!
Tiara has always had a passion for people and water activities. Swimming did not come natural to her, although she learned water safety and basic swimming skills at a young age. It was not until she joined her high school swim team that she became masterful in the water. After high school, she stayed active in college by participating in water aerobics and later leading classes at the YMCA. This experience led her to ensure that she builds meaningful relationships with her clients to enhance their learning experience by teaching it in a way the client can comprehend. Tiara has her B.S. in Family Science. She has been teaching swim lessons for 7 years and life guarding for 8. Tiara is YMCA certified in Lifeguarding/ Swim Lesson Instructor /AED/CPR/First Aid/Emergency Oxygen.
Tristan is a student at the University of Virginia and has loved being a swim team coach for the past 5 summers! He has experience teaching lessons with all ages and is certified in Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and First Aid. Before finding a love for coaching, Tristan swam competitively for a year-round team. He is excited to be enjoying the Florida weather and teaching kids how to swim this summer!
Growing up in the land of 10000 lakes (Minnesota), Megan loved the water. Her love has continued to grow. She worked as a lifeguard in high school and taught swimming levels 1-4. She also was on the local swim team for a year as a diver. Megan has a history in training including: lifeguarding, CPR, AED, First Aid, and Personal Care Assisting (PCA). She’s certified in Professional CPR, AED and first aid. She also teaches aqua fit swim classes. Megan’s other passion is volunteering and working with people of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life including people with disabilities. She knows American Sign Language (ASL), English Kriol and am learning Spanish.
Megan lived in the country of Colombia on a small island for a year (2017). She taught many of the local Islanders how to swim in their own surroundings and learned to snorkel. Megan loves to help people feel comfortable about the water. One on one training is the best way to achieve your personal goals. If you’re looking to help your child learn the basics of swimming, water safety, or looking to improve your own swim skills, Megan would be happy to help with all your needs. Some of the things Megan does in her free time is: associate with close friends, do volunteer work, learn languages (Currently knows ASL, English Creole, learning Spanish currently), understand cultures, explore, photography, art, snorkeling, hiking, and she loves the beach! Life is an adventure if we look at all the possibilities and move towards them one by one.
Brianna has had experience as a swim instructor for 4 years and as a lifeguard for 3 years. Her experience is with swimmers of all ages, skill levels and abilities. Brianna has taught Mommy & Me, preschool through high school and adult swim lessons. She also coached the swim team at Gibbs High School this past fall. Brianna enjoys getting to know each and every one of her swimmers and watching their improvements with every lesson. She is certified through The American Red Cross in Lifeguarding, CPR/AED and First Aid.
Lenora started swimming at age 4 and has not looked back! For 7 summers, in her metro Atlanta hometown, she coached swimming and taught private swim lessons, and she spent 3 years as the head swim coach of a school in Lima, Peru. Along the way, Lenora picked up water polo and open water swimming, as well as American Red Cross certification in lifeguarding (includes First Aid, CPR, and AED), and water safety instruction. When not in the water, Lenora uses her B.S. in Education as a middle school teacher, and she enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband. Inspired by the ocean and waters surrounding all of us, Greg has been sharing his passion for swimming, water safety, and underwater exploration for over 30 years. Since beginning his aquatic career as an infant and youth swim instructor and lifeguard, Greg has developed his skill sets to raise awareness around water safety, to develop early and lifelong swimmers and divers, and to provide opportunities to preserve and conserve the waters around us all. Serving in the past as a U.S. Navy officer has inspired him to continue to serve the communities that we live, swim, and play in. Greg is a certified instructor in First Aid/CPR/AED/Emergency Response, and a certified scuba diver since 1990, and now serving as a PADI Scuba Divemaster and Scuba Diving Instructor. With a desire to share his love for the water, he is looking forward to instructing, guiding, and inspiring new safe, mindful, and happy swimmers.
