Leo has had a passion for the water since he was a child. This led him to start his lifeguard career at the age of 15. Shortly after, he became a swimming instructor and coach. Leo believes “Swimming is one of the best sports to exercise your entire body and can be extremely therapeutic to the mind. At any age someone can be taught how to be a swimmer. But, with each age group there can be numerous risks with safety. This contributes to focusing on safety, first, in each class – preparing kids/adults for any type of situation that may occur. Safety readiness is one of the main fundamentals to becoming a strong swimmer. Everyone is a swimmer at heart; you just have to believe.” Leo has experience teaching all ages from infants to adults, he has a passion for working with special needs clients, and is certified through The American Red Cross in Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR and AED.
