Veronica's love for the water started with her best friend, her father. He was a coast guardsman for twenty plus years and when she came along, they were always at the residential pool starting when she was three years old. As she grew, Veronica's father taught her what he knew. Veronica joined her first competitive swim team when she was eight years old, where she continued to swim until she was eighteen. Veronica placed seventh at her first junior olympics in backstroke when she was only thirteen. Though she didn’t place gold, the memory is still vivid in her memory. Veronica became a lifeguard at seventeen and is still currently certified; She is also certified as a Red Cross Water Safety Instructor. She's been teaching kids and adults alike how to swim in a professional capacity for three years now. Veronica has always loved "Technique Tuesdays", a fun day her swim coach made up, because she has an eye for detail and could help the others improve. Facilitating a love for the water, while teaching water safety is her primary goal when instructing!
