Clearwater Swim Instructors & Lifeguards
Florida Swim Company offers private, swim classes taught by an elite group of swim coaches. Our swim teachers will provide one-on-one swimming instruction in the comfort of your home or community pool. All swim instructors are covered under Florida Swim Company’s general and professional liability insurances. They also hold various certifications and have multiple years of experience teaching swim lessons to infants, children, teens and adults.

Danielle, Office Manager
Danielle learned to swim at two years of age and has loved the water ever since! She swam competitively for her high school swim team and attended regionals her first year on the dive team! She currently attends SPC part time working towards her AA degree. Danielle is outgoing and clicks with people very easily. Danielle began working with children in 2017, caring for infants at her local daycare. She decided to combine her love for the water with her love for children and began teaching swim lessons. She has accumulated experience with all different age ranges and skill levels, including adults and special needs. She is also proficient in teaching stroke refinement to advanced swimmers and water aerobics to those looking to refreshen their workout routines! She is certified through The American Red Cross in Lifeguarding, CPR/AED and First Aid and Water Aerobics Instruction through The American Sports & Fitness Association. Her hope is that she can share her knowledge about water safety with all who work with her!
Chris was a Division 1 swimmer for the University of Georgia. He was a multiple time NCAA and SEC qualifier and was placed on the All SEC Academic Honor Roll all four years of swimming. He spent his childhood in the water and now wishes to pass the love of swimming along to the next generation. Chris has always offered his assistance by coaching during his career in competitive swimming. He is always willing to offer lessons and provide valuable skills, new techniques, and pass along wisdom whenever an opportunity arises. Chris is excited about investing into the lives of the future swim generation and share his love of swimming. Chris is Lifeguard, CPR and AED certified by the American Red Cross Association.
Daniella has been a lover of water ever since she learned how to swim at three years of age. In her younger years, she was a part of a swim team and applies a lot of those skills she learned to this day. Daniella has over five years of experience working with kids in many different age groups as well as teaching in different sports. Daniella also has two years of experience with special needs children. She is currently in nursing school at the University of Central Florida in which she is earning her bachelors in nursing. She is certified in CPR/AED and first aid as well. In her free time, you can find her at crossfit or at the beach in the beautiful Florida ocean! Daniella has a passion for the water and working out and hopes to share her skills and knowledge with any family that works with her!
Tiffany enjoyed many years as a competative swimmer throughout her childhood. Tiffany was trained by the American Red Cross to teach swim lessons in 1997. Since then, she has taught all ages. She graduated college in 2002 from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse with a sociology degree and has been a social worker for the past 15 years. She started teaching private lessons again in 2015 and loves to share her passion for the water with others. Tiffany is certified in CPR/AED and first aid.
Courtney was a Division I swimmer at Fresno State and won multiple MWC and team awards over the four years she participated on the team. Her main events were distance freestyle, specifically the mile, 1000 free, 500 free, and 200 free. She began swimming competitively when she was 7 years old and hasn't left the water since. Recently, she was the Head Swim Coach for both the boys and girls swim teams at Stevens Point Area High School. During her tenure as the head coach she helped swimmers of all abilities achieve their personal goals, which includes helping one her swimmers reach his goal of State Champion this past winter. Over the years she has taught swim lessons to swimmers of all abilities and ages. Working with kids as young as 6 months old all the way to adults. Her and her family moved to the Saint Petersburg area so she could finish her Doctorate in Audiology. She is in her final year of the program at the University of Wisconsin AuD Consortium. Courtney is Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certified through the The American Red Cross. She looks forward to working with her future students and sharing her love for the water with them.
Nicole has been swimming longer than she could walk and has a variety of experience in aquatics. She began swimming competitively when she was 8 years old and continued until the age of 20. She has experience teaching swim lessons for those ranging from 6 months to senior citizens as well as coaching ages 5 -18 years. Nicole was an aquatics director for a summer camp in Missouri where she led a team of lifeguards in open water, waterfront, and pool guarding. She also redesigned the swim lessons program for the summer camp increasing the swimming confidence of dozens of campers over the course of the summer. Swimming has always been a huge part of her life and she loves sharing her passion for it with others. Nicole is CPR certified through the American Heart Association.
“Water is my element” explains Carrie Caignet when asked about her unique professional experience. Her first job was at the historic Don César Hotel on the island of Saint Pete Beach, Florida. There she developed an aquatics program as well as guided beach/water walks for guests, becoming the youngest manager on staff. After graduating from school, Carrie was recruited by the Mirage Dolphin Habitat in Las Vegas where she worked as a dolphin trainer for a decade. When she returned to Florida, Carrie partnered with diving charter boat operations in the Tampa Bay area and the Florida Keys as a Dive Instructor, Divemaster, Rescue Diver and Mate; scouting for photographers, leading dive charters, spearfishing expeditions and introducing hundreds of people to SCUBA diving for the first time. Carrie brings over 30 years of expertise facilitating safe, enriching and positive experiences in and around the water. Carrie is CPR/AED and first aid certified.
Emily is originally from Colorado and moved to Florida for the warm weather and to be near the water. Her first job was teaching swimming at a local rec center. That's when she fell in love with teaching. Since then, she's worked and lived at swim camps all across the country! She has 5 years of experience near the water, teaching kids of all ages. She has experience as a life guard, swim instructor and camp counselor! Emily is certified in first aid / CPR / AED.
Tiara has always had a passion for people and water activities. Swimming did not come natural to her, although she learned water safety and basic swimming skills at a young age. It was not until she joined her high school swim team that she became masterful in the water. After high school, she stayed active in college by participating in water aerobics and later leading classes at the YMCA. This experience led her to ensure that she builds meaningful relationships with her clients to enhance their learning experience by teaching it in a way the client can comprehend. Tiara has her B.S. in Family Science. She has been teaching swim lessons for 7 years and life guarding for 8. Tiara is YMCA certified in Lifeguarding/ Swim Lesson Instructor /AED/CPR/First Aid/Emergency Oxygen.
In swim lessons, Chloe uses a variety of techniques which she has learned over the past 8 years as a swim instructor. During that time, Chloe obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Aquatics. She has been formally trained in developmentally appropriate techniques for all ages. In college, Chloe took coursework on the biomechanics of swimming up to the collegiate/professional level. She also enjoys teaching the little ones using her knowledge of infant reflexes. However, Chloe currently spends most of her time teaching preschool and school aged children swimming skills with an emphasis on safety. No matter the age or ability, Chloe can meet you where you’re at to help you achieve your goals! Chloe is certified in Swim Instruction and Lifeguarding, as well as Basic Life Support (CPR/AED and First Aid).
Sharon has been in the water her entire life and loves all water sports. She started her teaching career in upstate New York with certified Water Safety Instructor (WSI) swimming lessons. She began lifeguarding at the age of 16 and has been teaching PE in Ohio for the past 20 years. She has taught all ages to swim and has a passion to teach her love of the water, while developing lifelong swimmers with an emphasis on water safety. Sharon is certified through The American Red Cross in CPR/AED and First Aid.
Inspired by the ocean and waters surrounding all of us, Greg has been sharing his passion for swimming, water safety, and underwater exploration for over 30 years. Since beginning his aquatic career as an infant and youth swim instructor and lifeguard, Greg has developed his skill sets to raise awareness around water safety, to develop early and lifelong swimmers and divers, and to provide opportunities to preserve and conserve the waters around us all. Serving in the past as a U.S. Navy officer has inspired him to continue to serve the communities that we live, swim, and play in. Greg is a certified instructor in First Aid/CPR/AED/Emergency Response, and a certified scuba diver since 1990, and now serving as a PADI Scuba Divemaster and Scuba Diving Instructor. With a desire to share his love for the water, he is looking forward to instructing, guiding, and inspiring new safe, mindful, and happy swimmers.
Lenora started swimming at age 4 and has not looked back! For 7 summers, in her metro Atlanta hometown, she coached swimming and taught private swim lessons, and she spent 3 years as the head swim coach of a school in Lima, Peru. Along the way, Lenora picked up water polo and open water swimming, as well as American Red Cross certification in lifeguarding (includes First Aid, CPR, and AED), and water safety instruction. When not in the water, Lenora uses her B.S. in Education as a middle school teacher, and she enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband. My Name is Dawn and I have been teaching swim lessons since 2005. I have always had a passion for what I do, and that passion was strengthened when I recently had to provide life saving CPR to an adult drowning victim and my goal is prevention. I was a competitive swimmer throughout high school and and I am a certified rescue scuba diver possess a master’s Degree in mental health with experience in teaching students who have trauma as well as physical /mental disabilities.
Growing up in the land of 10000 lakes (Minnesota), Megan loved the water. Her love has continued to grow. She worked as a lifeguard in high school and taught swimming levels 1-4. She also was on the local swim team for a year as a diver. Megan has a history in training including: lifeguarding, CPR, AED, First Aid, and Personal Care Assisting (PCA). She’s certified in Professional CPR, AED and first aid. She also teaches aqua fit swim classes. Megan’s other passion is volunteering and working with people of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life including people with disabilities. She knows American Sign Language (ASL), English Kriol and am learning Spanish.
Megan lived in the country of Colombia on a small island for a year (2017). She taught many of the local Islanders how to swim in their own surroundings and learned to snorkel. Megan loves to help people feel comfortable about the water. One on one training is the best way to achieve your personal goals. If you’re looking to help your child learn the basics of swimming, water safety, or looking to improve your own swim skills, Megan would be happy to help with all your needs. Some of the things Megan does in her free time is: associate with close friends, do volunteer work, learn languages (Currently knows ASL, English Creole, learning Spanish currently), understand cultures, explore, photography, art, snorkeling, hiking, and she loves the beach! Life is an adventure if we look at all the possibilities and move towards them one by one.
